Description
School of Chinese Medicine Clerical Assistant The appointee will be assigned to The Chinese University of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Specialty Clinic cum Clinical Teaching and Research Centre, School of Chinese Medicine, CUHK / Integrative Medicine Clinic, CUHK Medical Centre, both are located near University Station. Duties include (a) providing reception and payment handling services at the clinics; (b) assisting CMP to provide acupuncture and bone-setting treatment and taking care of patients during consultation; (c) maintaining clinic equipment; (d) assisting in the preparation of the clinic’s special events; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) fast and accurate typing skill; (iii) strong computer proficiency; (iv) an effective command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) a polite, honest and responsible work attitude, and punctuality; and (vi) the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and as part of a team. Prior work experience at clinics/hospitals is an advantage, with clinic front desk or counter services experience is highly preferred. Applicants who have obtained the following result is/are preferred: Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects. Having experience in using electronic medical systems or possession of a certificate in Chinese Medicine Clinic will be advantageous. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
