Description Under the direction of the Billing Manager, the clerical role is to assist with multiple functions within the Billing department daily in a timely and accurate manner. Work is performed according to established procedures, and is reviewed or monitored frequently until familiarization with billing procedures is achieved. Entering data into the computer by means of work queues and reports Search for patient demographics & insurance Making copies Photocopying, scanning documents Download documents needed for monthly billing Review and correct returned patient statements Review and correct returned doctors mail. Post manual checks when applicable Perform simple arithmetic computations Reviews, corrects and classifies invoices for accuracy and completeness; Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for clinical certification pay and/or shift differentials.
