How you’ll contribute A Clerical Coordinator/Scheduler who excels in this role: Collaborates with Radiology and Cardio-Pulmonary departments to facilitate CT, MRI, and Ultrasound schedule and patient progression. Provides typing, word processing, and personal computer support in preparing written communication for the department. Acquires complete and accurate information regarding patients and procedures and communicates to appropriate persons. Answers telephone, documents and communicates messages promptly and accurately. Prepares and enters patient information into computerized scheduling system. Receives and routes all incoming calls. Receives fax of physician orders as requested by providers offices. Obtains prior authorization for procedure order by providers offices. Maintains organized records for the department. Additional requirements include: High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Three years of secretarial experience is preferred. Must possess strong communication skills. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
