Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Officer to join our busy Main Reception Team. As a member of the team you will play an important role in providing clerical support, perform night administrative duties, including, but not limited to, reception, telephone and patient/relative inquiries, records management, data collection and entry and related secretarial support. including computer related tasks supporting the night running of the Emergency Department, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.

  • Rostered shifts include every Sunday and Monday nights from 2100 to 0700 (9 hour shifts). This position requires a strong focus on customer service skills including a pleasant welcoming manner and communication with a broad range of people including consumers, carers, medical staff and service providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately register patients with keen attention to detail.
  • Ensure proper documentation and storage of information in compliance with medical records regulations.
  • Collaborate efficiently with hospital departments and external medical providers.
  • Prepare patient medical records with the necessary forms for each care episode.
  • Manage switchboard operations with professionalism and efficiency.
