POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key member of our Registration/Admission Clerical team, the Clerical Associate’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: registration/admission, accurately update demographic information, order entry, bookings, create patient charts, filing, bed board, patient transfer, arrange patient transport, criticall, verify and update medical insurance, collect payment for uninsured services and supplies, meet with patients or their family for preferred accommodation. The successful incumbent will have a proven track record for delivering excellent customer service and must be accountable within clinical and non-clinical teams. The Clerical Associate must maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
This is a position with a variety of scheduled shifts which include days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. As a part time employee you are required to be available for all shifts that you are scheduled for. The Hospital schedules based on our operational needs and this commitment is essential to the success of this position. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and bending. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors and enhances an exceptional patient experience. Other duties as per job fact sheet.
