Stainland and District Parish Council are seeking a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer for the semi-rural Parish in on the outskirts of Halifax.

The Clerk will be the Responsible Financial Officer and responsible for all financial records of the Council and the careful administration of its finances.

  • £15.84 -£17.29 per hour (SCP 18-23 on the National Association of Local Council pay scales)
  • 10-12 hours per week (home/hybrid working) some flexible hours available.

DUTIES:

  • Publishing meeting agendas and background information
  • Regular attendance at 1 evening meeting a month but occasionally extra when required
  • Minute taking
  • Responding to correspondence and emails
  • Guiding councillors in legislation
  • Finance and preparation for yearly audit.
