Description

Freight forwarding clerk as a clerk in the area of sea freight import (m/f/d) (full-time/40 hr week)

Proper handling of sea freight import shipments in compliance with legal, customs and company regulations.
Handling and customs clearance of FCL and LCL shipments
Scheduling of goods delivery
Rate negotiations with transport companies
Preparation of offers in the ad-hoc sector
Customer advice and support
Handling of complaints
Invoice
Consideration of economic, qualitative and customer-oriented aspects
Relevant experience in customs clearance and sea freight import
Good English skills, both spoken and written.
Good IT skills (including Atlas)
Team player with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction

Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or comparable commercial qualification
Several years of professional experience in the operational handling of import sea freight shipments
Sound knowledge of handling forwarding/sea freight orders, customs
Proficient use of freight forwarding software as well as ATLAS/DAKOSY and MS Office
Knowledge of CargoWise is an advantage.
Strong customer focus and communication skills
Structured, conscientious and team-oriented work style
