To support our international logistics processes, we are looking for a dedicated Import Administrator (m/f/d). In this role, you will support our team in the operational handling of our sea freight imports from Asia and ensure that our goods arrive smoothly from the seaport to our warehouses.

Tasks:

• Operational support and booking of sea freight imports (focus: Asia/China) in close coordination with the team
• Assistance with obtaining freight rates and communicating with freight forwarders
• Organization and monitoring of the onward transport from the port of arrival to our warehouses (truck, rail)
• Coordination of container deliveries and close communication with our warehouse logistics team
• Preparation of documents for customs clearance and transmission of customs clearance instructions.
• Assistance with the classification of goods (HS codes/commodity tariff numbers)
• Daily written and telephone correspondence with international suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Maintenance of import-related data in the ERP system and verification of freight and customs invoices

Qualifications:

• Completed commercial training, ideally in the field of freight forwarding, wholesale and foreign trade or logistics
• Initial to several years of professional experience in import processing (preferably sea freight/Asia)
• Basic knowledge of container logistics and customs clearance
• Good written and spoken English for daily international communication
• Reliable, precise and structured work methods
• Team spirit and enjoyment of operational problem-solving in day-to-day business
• Proficient use of MS Office and ideally initial experience with an ERP system (e.g., MS Dynamics NAV / Business Central)
• Provided in cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency.
