Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Clerk of Works to join our Investment Planning team.
We’re looking for someone who can provide a quality Clerk of Works service across component replacement and complex building schemes.
You’ll be responsible in ensuring that a consistently high standard of quality control, building safety, and supervision is maintained, whilst ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard, in line with legislation, building control regulations, codes of practice, British standards, specifications, schedules and quality procedure, ensuring full regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake regular site inspections to ensure that the required progress and quality standards are achieved and reported on.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, authorisation, and execution of Permit to Works and Wayleaves.
  • Verify compliance with contractual drawings, specifications, warranty standards and employer’s requirements.
  • Regularly liaise with our CDM Advisors and Health and Safety team to ensure a collaborative approach and successful delivery of projects.
  • You’ll have key decision-making authority as part of the Investment delivery programme, with responsibility for leading on quality control.
  • Ensure that contractors comply with all contractual obligations. You’ll produce and present monthly performance reports, covering aspects such as: progress of works, details of any delays, and any serious health and safety issues
  • Responsible for ensuring clear communication at all times, with the overall aim of enhancing the customer experience
