The Finance Department is seeking an administrative professional to work in an auxiliary capacity in our Accounting division. The ideal candidate will have the experience, knowledge and capability to assist in day-to-day clerical work while additionally supporting the team with special projects.
The incumbent will perform duties including, but not limited to:
- Providing quality customer service to internal customers and members of the public.
- Completing basic data entry for journal entries; scanning, filing, sorting and redistributing mail.
- Supporting the Accounting team with projects and a variety of administrative tasks.
- Performing related work as required.
Qualifications for this position include Grade 12 graduation, preferably supplemented by or including standard commercial courses, and some experience in general office and clerical work or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Front-line customer service experience and experience dealing with the public; experience multi-tasking in a busy office environment; and experience with Microsoft Office are preferred. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to make arithmetical computations with accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay Rate: $27.30 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (2024 Rates)
Location: West Building
Hours of Work: Hours and shifts are dependent on operational requirements and are scheduled by the department on an as-needed basis. We are looking for a candidate with availability between Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
