Job Summary
A Brief Overview
The Client Advisor is responsible for providing high-touch client support and guidance to participants and program leads throughout the inquiry, application, preparation, and post-program stages of all programs offered by Executive Education. This position is often the first point-of-contact for perspective participants and manages a portfolio of participants, ensuring the experience with Executive Education and the School of Business is a memorable one. The Client Advisor co-manages a number of short- and long-term open enrolment and custom programs, and simultaneously prepares for multiple programs at once. The variety and complexity of programs requires the ability to quickly adjust to various customer needs and build rapport with different personalities. In this position, the individual must work effectively as a member of a team to ensure that systems are developed, maintained and continually improved to ensure programs operate effectively, efficiently, and in the highest standing. This position reports to the Associate Director, Client Services and Operations, and works collaboratively with the Business Development and Program Management teams within Executive Education.
The below duties refer to “degree” programs, however this role is responsible only for non-degree, professional development programs. There is no overnight travel associated with this role and no coordination of events or presentations required.
This position provides academic advice to students including degree requirements, course selection, transfers, timetabling, withdrawals, and regulations. This position acts as subject matter expert on policies and procedures for academic programs which may include submitting applications, registration, and/or fee payment. This position monitors academic progress requirements including tracking academic records, transfer credits, and facilitating individual student study plans. This position also acts as a resource to faculty including explaining policies, procedures, and student progression, and recommends changes to policies and procedures for improvement of department services.
