Description WORK DESCRIPTION: Verification of eligibility for all patients presenting for services at Haymarket Center and identifying funding sources for uninsured clients or out of network. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Notify Haymarket Managed Care Department after contacting the Managed Care Organization to obtain notification/preauthorization for services. Works with Central Intake to ensure up-to-date knowledge of empty beds throughout treatment programs at Haymarket. Follow up with treatment units to ensure LCD's are being managed. Complete an application for benefits on ALL unfunded patients admitted to the facility. Follow all applications and coordinate outcomes with patient, Client Benefits and unit. Notification of patient admission to managed care companies. Faxing and tracking patient admission information and requests for additional days to designated MCO's. Document in the system, NextGen, updates about outcomes of application. Tracking numbers and outcomes of benefit applications. Conduct reminder calls about appointments. Call hospitals and other facilities letting them know open beds. Maintain all benefit stats. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Must be familiar with all Haymarket Center clinical programs Welcoming, friendly, patient and kind Organized multi-tasker and detail-oriented Must be able to work flexible hours, days and cover extra shifts if needed Must work well as part of a team
