Full Time Client Care Representative required to join our veterinary team. Amherst Veterinary Hospital is a busy, progressive small animal clinic located in Kitsilano/Point Grey in Vancouver serving the community since 1987.
We are a full-service hospital with long term staff, striving to provide excellent quality of care and medicine for our patients, excellent client service and a positive environment for our employees, where their knowledge/skills can expand.
We are looking for a motivated, responsible, compassionate individual with a strong work ethic. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a compassionate approach to animal care, multitask and be reliable.
If you enjoy providing exceptional client service and like cleaning and are experienced in animal husbandry then this is the job for you.

Responsibilities

Our ideal Client Care Reception / Veterinary Assistant builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. This involves greeting and checking-in clients in a friendly and warm manner; receiving incoming calls from current and prospective clients utilizing a courteous and caring approach.

Duties involve:

  • Greeting clients
  • Weighing patients
  • File creation and maintenance
  • Answering telephones
  • Cleaning exam rooms
  • Multi-tasking the answering of telephones and assisting clients at the front desk
  • Interpreting medical concerns from clients and triaging bookings accordingly
  • Cleaning
  • Animal Restraint
  • Walking Animals
  • Assisting and prepping for procedures

The successful candidate must be available to work on Saturdays. Previous related experience is required. This position is full-time. We offer competitive salaries, uniforms, pet benefits, extended health and dental benefits and a great working environment.
