Salary Range: $72,860.00 to $87,927.00

A typical day for the Information Specialist

  • Delivering engaging, knowledge-based webinars and in-person sessions to groups of pension plan members
  • Collaborating with team members to design innovative and accessible educational materials
  • Partnering with clients to develop tailored content for their members
  • Supporting pension plan members in understanding their pension benefits and options

What you bring

  • At least two years of experience facilitating workshops or seminars for diverse audiences
  • Strong facilitation skills and familiarity with best practices in adult learning
  • A degree, diploma, or certificate in adult education or a related field
  • Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive and respectful interactions
  • Experience in instructional design and content development
  • Familiarity with pension plans administered by APS, including relevant legislation and regulations
  • Working knowledge of all pension-related events, calculations, and statements.
  • Working knowledge of the member and employer education business area processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior communication skills, including verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license; use of a personal vehicle is required.
  • Travel in Alberta is a requirement of this position.
