Position Summary: The Client Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention as well as growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives of global enterprises (min. $20 Billion yearly revenue) to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner’s products and services. Key Responsibilities: Account management with an outcome of increased customer satisfaction and an increase in retention and account growth Quota responsibility of $1,500,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts Mastery and consistent execution of Gartner’s sales methodology Account planning and territory management Managing forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis Maintaining competitive knowledge and focus In-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services Job Requirements 10-15 years external experience with proven success in consultative sales, preferably experience in high technology (services, software or hardware) Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within large multi-national companies Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their business Proven ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and to structure innovative, integrated solutions that provide IT decision support to global companies Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers Extensive and relevant industry knowledge, specific to vertical markets per territory Strong computer proficiency Excellent written and oral/presentation skills Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations with contract decision makers (C-level) Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close Fluency in German Bachelors degree, with strong evidence of success in school Masters or advanced degree a plus Your application and the data therein are received and processed by Gartner UK Ltd., which is operating as shared HR service provider for the EMEA entities of the Gartner group.
