Description
Job Description We're looking for a Client Executive who has around a year's experience in client services within a creative agency. You'll support the team in managing day-to-day tasks such as proposal and project planning and you'll keep projects running smoothly by tracking timelines, updating status reports, and generating clear, timely contact reports. You'll be responsible for setting up client meetings, briefings and reviews, managing diaries and attendance. You’ll develop the solid foundations of client service – how to build trust, stay commercial and create space for great work. You’ll gain confidence communicating with both clients and colleagues, learning how to anticipate needs, spot opportunities and deliver with purpose. You’ll see how the smallest task, done well, can unlock flow for the whole team. And as you learn by doing, you’ll grow into the kind of creative partner clients rely on. WHO YOU ARE You’re an energised and dependable presence, who will help manage JDO’s key client accounts with care and consistency. You bring structure, clarity and momentum to the team; always focused on the detail, always thinking ahead. You’re curious, considered and proactive, and you show up each day to support those around you and make the work better. RESPONSIBILITIES Client partnership Support the team in managing day-to-day tasks that help us deliver with consistency and care. You’ll keep information flowing, capture the details that matter, and ensure clarity across teams. By doing so, you’ll help build the kind of partnership where trust grows, inside and out. Business growth Support proposal and project planning with insight and organisation. Share inspiring work and industry thinking to help fuel bold ideas. You’ll help tell the story of our impact – from case studies to internal wins – making sure our value is seen, felt, and shared. Client relationship management Build positive, professional relationships with clients through clear communication and thoughtful follow-up. Every email, every update, every note is a moment to show care, clarity and confidence, helping shape how clients experience JDO. Project management & operational excellence Keep projects running smoothly by tracking timelines, updating status reports, and generating clear, timely contact reports. You’re not just ticking boxes – you’re creating the calm, structured environment that lets great work thrive. Commercial acumen Help ensure budgets, estimates, and invoices are accurate and timely. Support project tracking with a commercial lens, learning how every number supports creative freedom. You’ll start to connect the dots between value, time and trust. Team leadership & mentoring Even without a direct leadership role, your reliability, enthusiasm and generosity shape the team dynamic. By staying on it, lifting others and showing pride in your work, you create a culture where people feel safe to do their best. WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE You are expected to: Create and update project timing plans and status trackers Maintain project folders, trackers and documentation accurately Set up client meetings, briefings and reviews, managing diaries and attendance Draft contact reports, meeting notes and action lists after meetings Raise internal POs and track approval status Request and log client POs against approved budgets Produce and update weekly client budget summaries Upload budgets and keep client/procurement portals up to date, including SWOP/UL where relevant Monitor timesheet completion and chase outstanding entries Track third-party costs and expenses for review Support invoice preparation by collating project information Support account teams with administration and project coordination Support artwork checking against supplied copy, client amends and agreed requirements Dispatch final files to clients once production checks and approvals are complete Escalate risks, missing information or process issues early EXPERIENCE We're looking for at least a year's experience in a similar role within a creative agency. We will need to see: Strong organisational and time-management skills A positive, proactive and collaborative attitude Excellent written and verbal communication Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously A knowledge of branding and packaging design would be ideal LOCATION AND FLEXIBILITY This role is initially a 12-month fixed term contract. It could be based out of our London or Royal Tunbridge Wells studios. We work to a hybrid model of three days in the studio. WHY WORK WITH US? What makes JDO special is how we work together. We value conviction without ego, generosity without fuss and craft that holds up in the detail. You’ll be encouraged to bring your point of view, ask better questions, learn from talented people around you and keep developing your voice. We’re proud to have been named Creativepool’s Best Agency to Work For in both 2024 and 2025. That recognition matters to us because it reflects the kind of place we are building: high standards, real collaboration and a team that shows up for each other. Alongside a competitive salary, we offer benefits that support rest, wellbeing, creativity and life outside work, including Fri-yays, where our studios close on the last Friday of most months, a day off on your birthday, end-of-year studio closure, an Employee Assistance Programme and a workplace nursery scheme to help with the cost of childcare. SOUNDS LIKE A FIT? LETS TALK. If you’re confident with detail and keen to build your experience in client partnership within the world of brand and packaging design, we’d love to talk.
