Perpetual Group is an ASX-listed company (ASX:PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, currently consisting of 11 leading brands across three distinct businesses: Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Trust.
Following the completion of a comprehensive Strategic Review in May 2024, it was announced that Perpetual Limited will become a standalone Asset Management business and has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) who will acquire the Corporate Trust and Wealth Management businesses.
About the role
An exciting opportunity to be part of the wider Managed Funds Services within Perpetual Corporate Trust. As Client Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of clients in order to build and maintain effective client relationships in a manner that complies with the law, scheme/trust documentation, regulatory framework, Perpetual policies and procedures and applicable industry practice to ensure superior client service.

About the Role
As a Client Manager, you will:
- Ensure delivery of service and operational excellence in activities in accordance with Perpetual policies
- Manage Client Relationships across clients including maintaining client relationship plans & conducting regular client visits
- Ensure all regulatory lodgements (annual financial statements, tax returns and annual distributions) are completed at year end in a timely manner in accordance with Perpetual policies and procedures
- Assist Senior Manager and Senior Client Manager to ensure compliance is managed appropriately in accordance with compliance plan controls
- Assist Governance & Oversight Manager in monitoring service providers including investment managers, custodians and administrators
- Assist with the on-boarding and integration of new business
- Manage the off-boarding of schemes that are winding up
- Develop & maintain operational relationships with key service providers
- Maintain and manage the compliance system, ClientConnect, for assigned schemes
- Present at the Board and Compliance Committee meetings as and when required
- Manage and oversee the billing for assigned clients
- Review regular reports provided by each client for compliance with scheme/trust reporting and disclosure requirements
- Escalate any legal/regulatory red flags to senior members of the Client Management Team
- Assist Senior Manager and Governance & Oversight Manager with annual compliance plan audit and any other risk or regulatory related audit or review.
About you
We’re looking for someone with:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Services or related experience with at least 3 years financial operations experience
- Excellent client management skills and relationship management experience
- Strong Knowledge of fund structures and experience within the managed funds industry (including custody, fund administration, registry, audit, investment operations)
- Prior experience within commercial property, corporate banking, accounting or tax highly desirable
- Experience reviewing and understanding legal documents including trust deeds, loan/security documents and service provider agreements
- An ability to handle time pressure, difficult client calls, agility around negotiating with counterparties
- Strong process management skills and ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail.
