Description
{Fill in the main information and summarize what we are looking for in this role} Key Responsibilities {{Sub-section Heading}} Allied Maker designs and manufactures handcrafted lighting for some of the most considered interiors in the country. Every fixture is made in New York, by hand, to an exacting standard. We are a small company growing quickly — and how we take care of our clients is central to everything we build. We're looking for someone who is genuinely good with people. Not a specific resume. Not prior industry experience. The right instincts, and the drive to learn everything else. The Role You'll be the primary point of contact for architects, interior designers, and private clients as they work through a project with us. That means managing inquiries, guiding clients through our collection and custom capabilities, tracking orders, and making sure every touchpoint reflects the quality of the product itself. It's relationship work. You'll learn our materials, our process, and our language — and over time, you'll develop real expertise in how luxury lighting is specified, produced, and delivered. This role is based at our Tribeca showroom, with regular contact with our production team in Glen Cove. What We're Looking For 2–4 years in a client-facing role. Fashion, retail, hospitality, showrooms, galleries — we care about the quality of the experience, not the industry. Exceptional written and verbal communication. You know how to make someone feel taken care of. High attention to detail and strong follow-through. Nothing falls through the cracks. Genuine curiosity about craft, materials, and design. You don't have to know lighting — but you have to care about beautiful things. Composure with discerning clients and complex timelines. Proficiency with standard business tools. We use Wrike and NetSuite — we'll teach you both. What You Get A real product with a real story — something worth talking about with every client Direct mentorship from company founders and senior leadership Exposure to significant design projects across residential, hospitality, and commercial A team that takes craft seriously at every level Room to grow as the company grows — we are scaling significantly If you know how to take care of people — and you want to do it for something worth caring about — we want to meet you.Bullet point Bullet point Bullet point {{Sub-section Heading}} Bullet point Bullet point Bullet point {{Sub-section Heading}} Bullet point Bullet point Bullet point {{Sub-section Heading}} Bullet point Bullet point Bullet point Required Qualifications {{X–Y years}} years of experience Core experience (environment, tools, type of work) Technical or functional requirements Any certifications/education (only if truly required) Behavioral requirement (e.g. ability to work on the shop floor, collaborate, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Industry-specific experience Tools/software familiarity Adjacent skills Compensation & Benefits Compensation: {{Salary / Hourly Range}} Bonus: {{If applicable}} Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Any role-specific benefits (if relevant) Work Environment & Physical Requirements On-site expectations Shop floor vs desk time Physical requirements (standing, lifting, etc.) Safety requirements (PPE, etc.) About Allied Maker Allied Maker is an American design and manufacturing studio creating luxury-crafted lighting fixtures.
