As a Veterinary Client Service Representative at UVPP, you play a critical role in shaping how clients experience our hospital from their very first interaction through ongoing care. You are the communication bridge between clients and the medical team, a steward of hospital flow, and a trusted advocate for both pets and their people. This role requires strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to confidently manage complex conversations while keeping the hospital running smoothly. Requirements What You’ll Do Lead and own the client experience, ensuring every interaction reflects UVPP’s standards of compassion, clarity, and professionalism Serve as the primary point of communication between clients and the medical team, supporting efficient workflows and accurate information exchange Manage appointment scheduling with a strong understanding of hospital flow, patient needs, and team capacity Confidently handle emotionally charged or high-stress situations, de-escalating concerns while maintaining trust and transparency Educate clients on hospital services, policies, and next steps in care, helping them feel informed and supported Process payments, address billing questions, and maintain accurate financial records with attention to detail Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and client-facing environment Collaborate closely with teammates across departments to support a positive, respectful, and high-functioning hospital culture What We're Looking For Previous experience in a client service, customer care, or receptionist role, preferably in veterinary medicine or healthcare Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different personalities and situations Demonstrated ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in fast-paced or emotionally sensitive environments Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort with multitasking and making sound real-time decisions Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems; experience with veterinary practice management software is a plus but not required A genuine passion for supporting animals, their families, and the teams who care for them Benefits & Perks 401(k) Ongoing professional training within the hospital Uniform allowance Employee pet care discounts A collaborative, supportive workplace that values work-life balance
