Job Title: Rink Supervisor – The Rink at Rockefeller Center
Season: 2025–26 (October – Early Spring)
Overview
The Rink at Rockefeller Center is seeking warm, outgoing, and team-oriented leaders to deliver the world-class hospitality experience our guests expect at this iconic New York City destination. As a Rink Supervisor, you’ll be a visible and approachable leader—supporting staff, enforcing standards, and ensuring every guest leaves with a lasting positive memory.
This is a full-time seasonal position that runs from October through early spring. The role requires flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our busiest times often fall outside a standard 9–5 schedule. Supervisors must thrive in a dynamic environment, work comfortably outdoors in cold weather, and adapt to shifting operational needs throughout the season.
For the right candidate, this position also offers an opportunity to transition into a permanent role within the organization at the conclusion of the rink season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in delivering warm, attentive, and memorable guest service.
  • Supervise daily rink operations, including public skating sessions, private events, and special programming.
  • Support, coach, and hold staff accountable to operational and hospitality standards.
  • Assist with onboarding and training seasonal team members.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and enforce all health, safety, and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with operation and technical teams to resolve facility issues quickly.
  • Complete daily operational reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence on-site to ensure smooth operations and safety.
  • Provide operational support during inclement weather events and high-volume periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality, attractions, or event operations; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in high-volume situations and direct large groups of people.
  • A proven ability to manage guest interactions with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. After-hours and weekend requirements are expected regularly.
