Client Services Representative (SVSS) Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making meaningful connections—both with people and their pets? At SVSS, our Client Services team plays a vital role in creating a compassionate, organized, and welcoming experience for every client who walks through our doors. As the first impression of our hospital, you’ll set the tone for each visit—providing exceptional service, supporting clients through both routine and sensitive moments, and helping ensure every patient receives the care they deserve. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable around animals, confident navigating emotional or high-pressure situations, and energized by multitasking in a busy clinical setting. What You’ll Do Create a warm, welcoming experience for clients and their pets from arrival to departure Manage appointment check-ins, discharges, and scheduling for both visits and procedures Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, doctors, technicians, and referring partners Answer and route calls while providing accurate and helpful information Support patient flow by coordinating with the medical team and keeping schedules on track Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Assist clients with forms, estimates, and general questions Process payments, balances, and daily deposits Help keep the front office organized, clean, and running smoothly What You Bring A genuine passion for helping people and animals Comfort working in emotionally sensitive situations and handling occasional conflict with professionalism and empathy Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail A positive, team-oriented mindset What You’ll Learn & Contribute Gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of veterinary services and patient care processes Build familiarity with medical terminology, common conditions, and clinic operations Maintain compliance with safety protocols (including OSHA standards and infectious disease prevention) Play a key role in strengthening relationships with clients and the referring veterinary community A Day in the Life From opening the clinic and preparing for the day ahead, to supporting clients through their visits and ensuring a smooth close, no two days are the same. Requirements Qualifications: 2+ years’ experience in a veterinary setting, surgical or specialty preferred Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, change management, decision making, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, systems thinking, teamwork, initiative, and detail-orientation Ability to orient and train as needed Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently Must be able to work well with team members Passionate about animals Ability to relate with customers in a friendly and professional manner Excellent phone etiquette Proficiency with computers Good temperament to withstand bad behavior from some animals Ability to exercise patience with clients Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills Exceptional Customer Service Skills Exceptional organizational skills to keep work environment tidy and comfortable, as well as to perform assignments efficiently. Overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic Ability to work in a fast past with different personality types Schedule flexibility Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance, stand for long periods of time, and bend at waist and knees. Must effectively be able to read, speak, and write in English. Hearing, vision and speech at a functional level are required to meet the essential functions of the job. On occasion patients may bleed, urinate, defecate, vomit, or secrete other glandular fluids on your person, shoes, or uniform. Working/Environmental Conditions: There is exposure to barking dogs and cleaning chemicals. This is an emotional environment due to death or illness of pets.
