Description A 25-year-old developmentally disabled young man needs direct support staff to provide community-based services and support. One or more shifts are available for full or half days on a part-time basis. Duties include Job coaching at various workplaces; taking client to and from therapy appointments and community-based activities; and working with the client on functional skills and community activities such as assistance with speech practice, learning simple job skills, exercise, grocery shopping, eating out, kitchen skills, etc. Client lives in Bedford, NH, and his home is a non-smoking home. He is autistic with intellectual, speech, and language impairments, but he is very social, independently mobile, and demonstrates compliant behavior. Due to intellectual disability, he does require regular monitoring and guidance. The work is rewarding and in pleasant home and work environments. Candidate must have reliable vehicle and auto insurance and pass a complete background check. References are required. Part Time - 5-10 hours weekly Pay: $20.33/hr. Requirements Access to reliable transportation and adequate car insurance Ability to work together with client to complete organizational tasks Ability to carry out individual service goals and communication goals Assistance with transportation if needed to dr. apts. and errands.
