DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:

  • Performing remote and onsite (scheduled projects) technical support for Pandesco clients.
  • Working on shifts providing direct support for 18x7 businesses.
  • Typical hours are 11AM-7PM Local Time
  • Conduct break/fix troubleshooting for local and remote stores and staff members (Tier 1/Tier 2)
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders and client members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communications and customer service skills
  • An Associate’s Degree in Computer Sciences or related field or similar technical schooling required, Bachelors preferred.
  • 5 years of experience as an IT Technician in an office corporate center or retail industry experience
  • Must have hands-on experience with computer hardware and software repair
  • Must have working knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies and architectures
  • Must have hands-on experience with cloud-based enterprise systems such as Google G Suite, MS Office 365
  • Must have experience providing technical support to medium size companies with multiple retail stores, Point of Sale systems, store networks, mobile retail platforms and other in-store and corporate technologies
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the general supervision of the local Project and Support Lead , the IT Tech performs professional work with computer hardware, software, and systems
  • This employee installs and supports enterprise systems including operating systems and applications software. They will also install and support personal computers, and network devices, mobile devices and Point of Sale equipment, while providing retail hardware and software planning and evaluation; provides problem solving and training for retail stores and end users; and ensures systems efficiency and integrity
  • Assists with computer, servers, mobile, cloud-based systems installation in support of the distribution center operation including the material handling equipment and warehouse operations
  • Assists with the administration of enterprise systems and the execution of operating procedures such as employee provisioning, hardware and software life cycle and asset management processes
  • Uses systems administration systems for remote management, software delivery and patch management
  • Assist IT Network Engineering with the implementation of connectivity solutions, overall network operation, cabling and directory management
  • Assists the IT Operations management team in preparing budget by recommending purchases of hardware and software
  • Executes remote projects at retail locations as part of scheduled services / projects
  • Document support actions in ticketing system
  • Provide support within the client service level agreement
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Can lift 50+ pounds
  • Able to work at Austin office location and occasional offsite
