The Research and Innovation Directorate at the Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking to appoint a Climate Ambassadors Project Officer in the Faculty of Science and Engineering on a fixed term, part time basis.
The post holder will work the Climate Ambassadors Northwest Regional Hub Manager and the academic project lead, Dr Rachel Dunk, to proactively deliver the Climate Ambassadors programme in line with the University Research Strategy.
The Climate Ambassadors project is externally funded by the Department for Education and has a remaining duration of approximately 10 months, running until 14th January 2026.

You will be employed and hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University, supported by the Northwest hub of the Climate Ambassadors programme – Regional Hub Manager, Dr Cormac Lawler, and the Regional Hub Lead, Dr Rachel Dunk – to ensure you have the support you need to access the various expertise, networks, and resources the organisation has. You’ll also be an integral part of the national Climate Ambassador programme, including eight other regional hubs. This structure will mean you’ll have two primary reporting and support mechanisms – within the organisation and through the national programme team.
