Overview: The climate unit of ISS Sustainability Solutions is seeking a specialist to join its Transition Risks and Opportunities team immediately. Successful candidates will have a background in data science and data analysis, a desirable experience in climate transition topics and exhibit a passion for the responsible investment business with a focus on climate change. The successful candidate will have good knowledge and understanding of transition topics and available data sources, and an ability to apply this knowledge when analyzing financial instruments. The candidate should have a collaborative approach to work and a track record of project management and problem solving while working with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to product development and enhance analytics regarding climate transition products. This includes interactions with colleagues and clients from around the globe. The Climate & Nature Innovation Lab is a unit within ISS Sustainability Solutions. As investors seek to gain a better understanding of their exposure to climate-related risks, Climate & Nature Innovation Lab provides data, analytics and advisory services to support financial market participants and governments to understand, measure, and act on climate-related risks and its impact on investments across all asset classes. ISS Sustainability Solutions is a market leader within its field and highly innovative. Responsibilities: Contribute to data interpretation and methodology development, including code proof of concepts, around Transition / Net Zero related products. Support team with quantitative analysis and research on countries climate policies to evaluate countries emission performance, alignment to international initiatives and target setting. Support sales with client requests Qualifications: A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience relating to data analytics Advanced university degree ideally in data science, environmental science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, expertise in financial (ESG) topics desirable Demonstrated interest in climate change. Understanding of climate scenarios and Net Zero frameworks desirable.
