As our Climate & Operational Sustainability Manager, you will lead our climate roadmap, ensuring alignment with our 2030 commitments, manage our environmental KPIs and ensure the strategy answers evolving sustainability regulations. You will own corporate carbon footprinting, accelerate decarbonisation across Scope 1, 2, and 3, and champion environmental performance in our operations. A key part of your mission will be engaging internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of the decarbonization roadmap. You will also manage one team member focusing on data management and governance, LCA modelling, and avoided pressures methodology—ensuring robust data and insights to guide impactful decisions. Climate Strategy & Corporate Footprinting Define and execute Flora’s climate strategy, aligned with science-based targets and 2030 goals. Lead annual carbon footprinting across Scope 1, 2, and 3, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement. Translate climate risks and opportunities into actionable plans for business functions. Monitor regulatory trends (CSRD, CSDDD, EU Green Deal) and voluntary schemes (SBTi,..) and integrate them into strategic planning. Operational Sustainability Performance Drive environmental performance in operations—energy, water, waste, and resource efficiency. Identify and deliver decarbonisation projects across manufacturing sites. Supplier & Value Chain Engagement Build supplier engagement programs to improve emissions transparency and co-create decarbonisation pathways. Partner with Procurement to embed climate expectations into sourcing strategies. Conduct hotspot analyses and support category-level sustainability roadmaps. Data, Governance & Reporting Manage and coach a team member responsible for EF governance and LCA modelling. Ensure high-quality data for dashboards, customer requests, and external reporting. Contribute to CSRD disclosures, ESG ratings, and leadership reporting. So what does it take to be successful in this role? You have 5–8 years of experience in climate strategy, carbon footprinting, or operational sustainability, ideally within the food/FMCG sector. You bring strong expertise in Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, the GHG Protocol, and decarbonisation pathways, along with solid knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) principles. You have experience managing environmental KPIs within operations and engaging suppliers through structured programmes, with experience using supplier engagement tools or platforms (e.g. HowGood, Altruistiq) considered a plus. You collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
