Description

With an objective to meet the regulations (UAE Climate decree, NDC commitments and Decarbonization plan), the Group will be initiating emissions reduction pathway. The analyst will provide analytical support by analyzing data, industry trends, Group’s financed emissions, developing models that will enable scenario analysis that will inform emission reduction strategy.

EDUCATION

A degree in engineering with a thorough understanding of various emission intensive production and industrial processes.

EXPERIENCES

Up to 3 years of experience, preferable with exposure to financial services

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Highly proficient in data modelling and data analysis using Python tools and Excel VBA.

Responsibilities
  • Support carbon footprint modeling and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze environmental data related to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for industries such as steel, cement, aluminum, petrochemicals, fertilizers, aviation, transportation, power generation, among others.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for emission reduction.
  • Support the development of emissions reduction pathways.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to align data reporting with frameworks such as CDP, TCFD, GRI, and ISSB.
  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate performance to stakeholders, leadership, and regulators.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across systems and reporting cycles.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in climate data and sustainability reporting.
