About the Role: We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing department at Medical West, UAB. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing nursing staff, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. As the Clinical Director of Nursing, you will play a critical role in maintaining the standards of nursing practice and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications: * Current RN license in the state of Alabama * Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role * Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Nursing or related field * Certification in nursing leadership or administration * Experience in a hospital or acute care setting Responsibilities: * Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care delivery * Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans * Manage and mentor nursing staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and nursing department activities Skills: As the Clinical Director of Nursing, you will utilize your strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage nursing staff and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. You will also use your knowledge of nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and maintain high standards of patient care. Additionally, you will utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop and implement patient care plans and resolve any issues that arise in the nursing department.
