__________ STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES | TE RATOKA HAUORA ĀKOKA Our team | Mō te tīma Student Health Services (SHS) provide a full range of primary health care services for students at the University of Otago. We have an experienced team of 65 full and part-time staff including GPs, Nurses, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Administration staff who provide approximately 45,000 appointments per annum. The role | Te mahi As a Clinic Administrator, you will provide effective and efficient administrative support to staff, students and patients for our Student Health Services. A strong customer service focus and confidentiality are critical to success in this role. Some key tasks include: • Providing reception services. • Patient registration and updating information. • Booking appointments for students and clinicians. • Processing referrals. • Assisting clinicians with reporting. • Utilising computer systems and billing. • Undertaking external agency processes such as ACC claims registration, processing and management. • Confidential management of patient records. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako • Previous experience working in a busy, complex working environment that requires a high level of discretion, sensitivity, accuracy and interpersonal interaction. • Previous experience working in the health sector and in particular, a medical practice would be highly advantageous (but not necessary) as would knowledge of patient management systems (Medtech Evolution or similar). • Capable of managing multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency. • Demonstrate well-developed computing skills and proven competency with a range of software applications. • Work proactively and supportively within a team to create a positive culture. • Commitment and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Further details | Pūroko This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) vacancy located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. The appointment range for this role is $63,508 to $68,185 per annum. Top of the range is $73,640. You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
