Description JOB SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of all clinic office staff. Prepares work schedules and expedites work flow. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the office clinics. Keep the physician(s) informed of both progress and potential problems. Responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery. Monitors billing, collections, insurance payments, accounts payable. Maintains survey readiness at all clinics. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred Minimum of three years management/supervisory experience preferably in a medical setting. Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, third party payors. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization. Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs). Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate. GENERAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic Computer Skills WORKING CONDITIONS: General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms. May be required to change from one task to another or different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be scheduled as needed including overtime. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: Responsible for interviewing, hiring and firing of staff for the office/clinics. Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives. Provides for professional growth and development of patient care staff through identification of needs, sponsoring training programs, encouraging education (formal and continuing) efforts and evaluation of same. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Responsible for completion of regular performance evaluations for each staff member; conducts evaluations for new staff prior to completion of probationary period. Counsels employees, develops staff and, as appropriate, utilizes the disciplinary process. Monitors patients scheduling, referrals for HMOs. Responsible for safety and comfort of patients, and the health and safety of staff. Ability to coordinate and direct the patient accounting function in order to consistently produce accurate bills which are paid in a timely manner. Monitors activities continually with collection agencies, insurance companies, patients and physicians; recommends corrective action as appropriate. Develops justifies and maintains a fiscal plan (budget) for the office/clinic. Monitors patient revenues, expenses and operating expenses (salaries and capital expense items) and provides appropriate reports to the Administrator/Physician. Maintains a current awareness of third-party reimbursement regulations and contractual arrangements with HMOs and PPOs. Monitors utilization of equipment and supplies; orders supplies as needed. Effectively maintains all required records for the office/clinic; demonstrates good organizational skills. Assumes the role of patient advocate respecting guidelines found in the Patient Bill of Rights. Ensures cleanliness of organization of RHC’s. Supports ACO team members and director to ensure quality metrics and measures are met. Acts as a liaison between CEO and RHC staff and physicians. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Follows Code of Conduct policy. Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and clean. Completes annual educational requirements. Maintains regulatory requirements. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time. Wears identification when on duty; uses computerized time clock system correctly. Completes in-services and returns in a timely fashion. Attends annual review and/or skills fair and department in-services, as scheduled. Attempts to end conversations and other interactions in a positive manner; leaves others with a good impression of the Hospital Authority of Miller County and its employees. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission statement of the organization. Responsibilities

The Clinic Administrator supervises and coordinates all clinic office staff, develops and implements office policies, and keeps physicians informed of progress and potential issues. This role is also responsible for directing patient care delivery and monitoring financial functions including billing, collections, and accounts payable.
