ABOUT US

University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is located in the heart of Sydney’s creative and digital precinct. UTS has a bold vision to be a world-leading university of technology. We are known for our industry focus, practice-based teaching and learning, real world research and our location. With state-of-the-art campuses and facilities, we’re preparing students to become global thinkers, leaders and innovators.
The Faculty of Health provides high quality, innovative programs of teaching and learning, research and consulting and continuing professional education to clients of wide backgrounds, both nationally and internationally in a spectrum of disciplines. The School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation is located at the UTS facility within the Rugby Australia Building at Moore Park, where this position is located. This state-of-the-art centre, a first in the country, combines university programs with a premier sporting precinct. The School’s clinic operates as a not-for-profit teaching and research facility, offering high-quality exercise physiology and exercise programming services to the community, and is a practical training facility for students as part of their degree programs.

AS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU WILL POSSESS:

We’re seeking a highly skilled and proactive administrator who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at managing complex administrative processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and stakeholder expectations with professionalism, flexibility, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

The Clinic and Practicum Coordinator manages the daily operations and administration of the Sport & Exercise Science Telepractice Clinic, Exercise Physiology Clinic, and student placements within the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation. The role provides high-level administrative support to academic staff, clinic supervisors, and students, including the development and maintenance of schedules and processes, ensuring compliance with governance and quality standards, and meeting key internal and external deadlines.
During clinic operating periods (aligned with university sessions), the incumbent is required to work fully on campus and follow an alternate shift pattern (e.g., 7:30am–2:30pm or 11:00am–7:00pm), shared equitably with another staff member. Outside of these periods, a hybrid work arrangement is available, with a minimum on-campus presence of three days per week.
