About Company: Life-in-the-mountains, perks of a full-time position with Middle Park Health.    Middle Park Health (MPH) is a successful rural health system located in the high Rockies 1 1/2 hour west of Denver, CO with seven locations in beautiful Grand and Jackson counties where we have an abundance of year-round outdoor recreational activities.  As a Level 4 Trauma hospital, MPH provides a range of services, including  Emergency and Surgical Services, Rural Health Clinics, Rehabilitation Services Clinics, a Wellness Center, and an Assisted Living Facility. We are seeking a Clinic Lead RN to work in our Fraser outpatient location.  About the Role: The Clinic Lead Nurse or Certified Athletic Trainer plays a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering high-quality clinical care within our specialized orthopedic medicine environment. This position is responsible for managing patient care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols to optimize patient outcomes. The role demands leadership in both clinical practice and administrative functions, including staff supervision, training, and quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and organizational leadership to foster a collaborative and efficient care environment. Ultimately, this role aims to enhance the health and performance of athletes and active individuals through expert clinical management and innovative care strategies. Minimum Qualifications: * Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification in the United States. * Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, or a related healthcare setting. * Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a clinical environment. * Strong knowledge of injury assessment, treatment protocols, and rehabilitation techniques specific to athletic populations. * Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Preferred Qualifications: * Degree in Nursing, Athletic Training, or a related health science field. * Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare documentation standards. * Certification in Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Nursing (e.g., ONC, COCN) or equivalent athletic training specialty certifications. * Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to outpatient clinics. * Strong background in patient education and community outreach programs related to sports health and injury prevention. Responsibilities: * Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and conditions. * Lead and supervise clinical staff, including nurses and athletic trainers, ensuring compliance with best practices and organizational policies. * Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals. * Manage clinic operations such as scheduling, inventory control, and documentation to maintain efficient workflow and regulatory compliance. * Conduct staff training and professional development sessions to promote continuous learning and adherence to the latest clinical guidelines. * Serve as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries, concerns, and education regarding injury prevention and health maintenance. * Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic effectiveness.
