Job Summary The Clinic Lead – RN is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the clinic and providing professional nursing care in an outpatient setting. This role supports departmental goals through oversight of staff, patient care, and workflow efficiency while promoting excellence in service delivery and clinical practice. The Lead RN ensures effective communication, staff development, and patient-centered care across the team. Essential Functions Coordinate daily clinic operations, including work assignments, prioritization of tasks, and technical assistance to staff Oversee staff schedules, provide training and mentoring, and monitor quality of work Offer performance feedback and assist with team goal setting and quality improvement initiatives Provide direct patient care including assessments, triage, patient education, medication administration, dressing changes, and vital signs monitoring Answer patient calls and triage clinical concerns in accordance with clinical protocols Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in managing patient care and workflows Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the health record Participate in policy and procedure development, safety programs, and infection control measures Maintain personal professional development through ongoing education and training Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of regulatory standards and clinical documentation practices Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and Microsoft Office applications Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Frequent standing, walking, and use of clinical equipment Visual and auditory acuity required for patient assessment and communication Clinic/outpatient setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases, odors, fumes, and biohazards Fast-paced, patient-centered environment requiring adaptability and professionalism Education Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required Licenses/Certifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required Experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse required Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles across the lifespan
