Job Summary The Manager – Eye Clinic plays a key role in fostering effective physician engagement, supporting provider lifecycle activities, and contributing to the health system’s physician growth strategies. This role collaborates with leadership to ensure that physician recruitment, contracting, and onboarding are executed efficiently, legally, and competitively. The manager supports retention initiatives and serves as a liaison between providers, practice operations, and executive stakeholders. Essential Functions Collaborates with leadership to develop and execute provider recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning strategies Builds and maintains strong relationships with physicians, practice managers, and leadership to enhance communication and service alignment Ensures that provider contracts, compensation arrangements, and support packages are market competitive and compliant with legal and regulatory standards Prepares and monitors recruitment and retention budgets; coordinates financial incentives (e.g., sign-on bonuses, retention payments) with the CFO Tracks provider needs by specialty and provides updated compensation benchmarks and market intelligence Assists in drafting, reviewing, and routing provider employment contracts through internal approval channels Leads communication regarding onboarding expectations and timelines for new providers Partners with Physician Relations & Industry (PRI) colleagues on strategies to enhance provider retention and satisfaction Conducts periodic feedback surveys and evaluations for newly hired physicians and reports findings to leadership Monitors effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and updates strategies to support long-term workforce planning Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Strong understanding of healthcare economics, provider practice models, and physician engagement strategies Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and relationship-building abilities Proven ability to manage confidential information and work with minimal supervision Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare data systems Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Required) Licenses/Certifications None required Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or physician relations, preferably in a healthcare setting Experience in contract negotiation and provider relations strongly preferred
