Description About the Role The Clinic Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for patients and visitors. This position ensures smooth patient flow by managing scheduling, registration, and payment collection while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, and committed to supporting high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment. How You’ll Make an Impact Customer Service Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information about clinic services. Assist patients with check-in procedures and direct them to appropriate areas. Billing Procedures & Accounts Receivables Collect co-pays and patient payments at time of service. Accurately post payments and provide receipts. Ensure accurate entry of demographic information and financial information into the EHR. Verify insurance eligibility and update coverage information as needed. Inventory & Order Placements Monitor and maintain adequate levels of front office supplies, forms, and patient materials. Submit supply requisitions and coordinate with purchasing for timely restocking. Keep the reception area organized and prepared for daily operations. Policies & Procedures Follow HIPPA and clinical policies to protect patient confidentiality. Adhere to established registration, scheduling and billing procedures. Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives. Organizational Support Communicate with nurses, providers, and clinic staff to support efficient patient flow. Assist with patient reminders, follow up calls, and schedule adjustments. Performing additional duties as assigned and contribute to a team-oriented work environment. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Proficiency with computers and ability to learn EHR systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Position Details Full-time position; typically, 40 hours per week. The clinic operates standard daytime hours; work performed in a Clinic environment with frequent patient interaction. Requires sitting and standing for extended periods with some walking. Lifting to 20 lbs. (Office supplies, equipment) Use of computers, phones, scanners, and standard office equipment.
