Wentworth Halton X-Ray & Ultrasound is the region’s largest and most comprehensive provider of out-patient diagnostic imaging. We are looking for individuals interested in being part of our team to serve the needs of the patients and their referring physicians and healthcare providers in our communities.

For applicants with more than 2 years experience working directly within diagnostic imaging in a reception role, with good knowledge of RIS/PACs and the overall process, we also offer an accelerated starting wage rate.
Working hours are usually Monday to Friday during the day. There could be opportunity for some evening and weekend work.

Job Duties:

  • Receiving phone calls, electronic forms and faxes and scheduling patients for exams
  • Answering patient inquiries in person and by phone
  • Answering calls, returning calls and messages
  • Communicating with referring physician offices
  • Booking appointments & following up on missed appointments
  • Checking and addressing incoming e-mails, reports, scans, faxes etc
  • When working at the clinics, checking patients in, validating health card, verifying requisition, inputting requisitions

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively and quickly use software
  • Experience with using computers
  • Great customer service
  • Preferred Medical Terminology course.
  • Preferred prior work in a clinical and patient serving environment
  • Previous experience working in a diagnostic imaging center will be acknowledged in starting wage rate
  • Punctual & pristine attendance record

Skills

  • Computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Works well in a team and independently
  • Good decision making skills, works well under pressure and a fast learner.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.30 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
