Job Details Job Location: Vista Campus - Santa Rosa, CA 95403 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $70,304.00 - $87,000.00 Salary Under the direction of the Clinic Manager or Site Director, the Clinic Supervisor assists in overseeing daily operations for a health center. The primary goals for this position include: updating the daily clinic schedule, troubleshooting scheduling problems, creating efficient workflows, and ensuring effective communication between back office, reception and patients. The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for supporting the provision of high quality services while creating a positive patient experience. SPECIFIC TASKS/DUTIES INCLUDE: Assists in the management of day-to-day clinic operations to ensure patient needs are met. Supervises support staff. Must be familiar with the Collective Bargaining Agreement in the supervision of any union-represented staff. Prepares, closely monitors and manages the daily clinic schedule to ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner. Corrects problems with scheduling or workflows and makes recommendations for systems improvement. Communicates with other clinic supervisors to maintain appropriate daily support staff schedule for all clinic departments. Communicates with management staff and lead clinician to ensure effective relay of information pertinent to clinic operations. Assigns and monitors timely completion of support staff assignments including ensuring labs are clean and exam room/supplies are well-stocked. Orients and trains new staff and residents on clinic operations and provides ongoing training for existing staff. Oversees in-house labs ensuring appropriate standards are met. Participates in Quality Improvement projects and other duties as assigned by manager. Serves as liaison with Quest lab, troubleshooting problems in lab transmission & clarifying insurance coverage. Oversees monitoring and inventory of immunizations. Assists in reassignment of graduating resident panels each year. Works closely with Standby Clinic Coordinator to accommodate standby patients. Possesses understanding of the Medical Receptionist role and offers occasional support as needed Responsible for timely, accurate submission of timekeeping processes to payroll. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years working in a healthcare environment required. One year of supervisory experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Possess a deep understanding of clinical operations and workflows. Strong problem solving skills. Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred. Fluency in Spanish speaking preferred. PHYSICIAL REQUIRMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following: Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time. Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population. Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy. Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information. Vision: see details of objects at close range. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Reach forward, up, down, and to the side. Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day. Lift up to five (5) pounds.
