Description

Royal City Foot and Orthotic Clinic is part of The Foot Clinic Group (Waterloo Foot Clinic, Tri-City Foot Clinic, Kitchener Foot Clinic, and Radius-5 Laboratories). Our multiple Chiropodists, 2 Foot Care Nurses, 2 Pedorthists, and team of assistants work together to provide the highest level of care for all patients. Chiropodists, or Foot Specialists, are medical professionals who focus primarily on the foot and ankle. We assess a number of issues, not limited to, ingrown toenails, fungal issues, sports injury and rehabilitation, orthotics, warts, and much more.
A successful candidate will be seeking a fulfilling, full-time, permanent position.
The hours would be Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm, subject to change based on clinic needs.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Clinic Manager with ensuring clinic operations and back-of-house tasks are being done efficiently and on time.
  • Delegating back-of-house clinic tasks to clinic assistants.
  • Facilitating clinic workflow by bringing patients to rooms and communicating with Practitioners and other staff members.
  • Assisting with therapeutic treatments as delegated by the Chiropodist
  • Assisting with the proper setup of rooms for routine and surgical procedures.
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering medical supplies.
  • Creating, assigning, and scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly back-of-house tasks for Clinic Assistants, ensuring all tasks get completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining, logging, and performing maintenance on Podiatric equipment.
  • Cleaning and set up of the treatment rooms, clinic common areas, and sterilization of tools.
  • Ensuring all sterility tests are completed and records are maintained.
  • Assisting with training new staff members on back-of-house tasks.
  • Monitoring and performing orthotic processing duties, ensuring all documentation is complete.
  • Assisting Chiropodists (under assignment) with education, fitting, and dispensing of products.
  • Assisting with greeting, scheduling, and billing as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience and/or education in a medical office would be preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
