JOB OVERVIEW

At Possibilities Recovery Center we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health and addictions counselling and demonstrate proficiency in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on promoting mental wellness and supporting clients through their journeys. Clinical Supervision is provided by the agency.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Certified Addiction Counselling, or a related field.
  • Valid licensure as a Clinical Therapist or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in addiction. Lived experience considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities pertaining to addiction
  • Strong skills in client care, team collaboration, record keeping, and clinical therapy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in case management activities to support clients in accessing community resources and services.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in behavioural health to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
