SUMMARY

The Clinical and Scientific Content Curator plays a critical role in shaping how medical and scientific information is communicated to patients and health care providers in an accurate and compliant way. This is a cross-functional role that focuses on the development and curation of content for internal tools and external materials for health care providers and patients. This position may include the curation of genomic information extracted from scientific literature, technical laboratory methods, and clinical guidelines. Additionally, it will translate complex clinical concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand content across a variety of formats, including laboratory reports and educational materials for patients and providers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Curate accurate, compliant medical and scientific content from clinical guidelines, scientific literature, and other resources to populate internal tools used for genomic analysis and reporting.
  • Translate complex genomic and clinical information into clear, simple, and engaging content that can be used to explain testing options or results to patients and non-expert health care providers.
  • Review and edit content prepared by others for scientific accuracy, readability, and audience appropriateness.
  • Ensure all curated content aligns with regulatory standards and clinical best practices.
  • Continuously update content based on emerging scientific research and evolving clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Communications teams to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging.
  • Support the development of scalable content management strategies for digital platforms and printed materials.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Genetic Counseling or a related field; PhD in Biology, Genetics or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in clinical content curation or development, scientific writing, and/or medical communications.
  • Prior experience curating genomic or clinical data from peer-reviewed literature and guidelines or experience developing patient and provider education materials.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and clinical standards, including HIPAA, CLIA, and CAP guidelines.
  • Content strategy and management experience is preferred.

    If applicable, Genetic Counselors are required to be licensed in the state where the employee works. Genetic counseling licenses for additional states may be required at the discretion of GeneDx
