Description:
Take a leading role in the digital health transformation at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital as our Clinical Applications Specialist and Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. This dynamic position empowers you to blend cutting-edge digital health applications with comprehensive training programs, transforming patient care and professional development. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Mandatory
- Successful completion of a University degree or college diploma in instructional design/instructional technology, adult education or relevant discipline from an accredited educational institution
- Minimum 5 years related experience with a combination of instructional design/computer technology and educational technology
- Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may also be considered
Preferred
- Background in a clinical field such as nursing, health disciplines, or clinical informatics
- Experience using Meditech (Client Server platform)
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated computer proficiency including advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio).
- Recent experience working with trainers/educators to convert existing curriculum content to an eLearning format
- Demonstrated current knowledge of technology used in training such as experience with Articulate Storyline, multimedia editors, other eLearning development tools, eLearning development methods, Learning Management Systems, web development & web-based applications
- Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Absorb LMS, Adobe Captive, Adobe Creative Suite, and Vyond applications is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in addition to strong project management skills with the proven ability to successfully manage timeliness, and critical paths with minimal supervision
- Ability to occasionally deliver training programs or management initiatives outside of regular business as required; flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history

Responsibilities:
- Lead informatics-enabled projects
- Identify, design, develop, select, test, implement and evaluate informatics solutions, data structures and decision mechanisms to support patients and health care professionals
- Act as a subject matter expert related to software/applications, providing advice and consultation to stakeholders at all levels the use of the respective software, impact of changes
- Apply established criteria for determining appropriateness of educational content for on-line delivery and ensures high standards for eLearning instructional design and branding requirements, education scholarship and adult learning principles
- Develop, design and deliver educational corporate and clinical programs at all levels in the organization up to and including senior leaders
- Use knowledge of technology used in training to manage timelines and critical paths
- Develop evaluation criteria (short-term, intermediate and long-term) and regularly evaluates eLearning courses, recommends program changes to content experts and complete modifications or format conversions as needed
- Conduct audits, generate specialized reports and coordinate of data processing resources
- Collaborate with Information Services department/eLearning technical support for LMS changes/updates and projects related to the integration of different systems with our LMS including conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and user experience testing (UAT) to validate integration, design, content, technical requirements and accessibility features
- Support communication and training plans related to eLearning, including training of Nurse Educators and Allied Health Education Specialists and department managers etc., to act as LMS administrators
- Conduct end-user LMS related training as needed including development of tips sheets and education tools
- Act as a resource on eLearning technology/techniques and trouble-shooting to the organization
