Position Summary: The College of Medicine seeks a Clinical Assistant/ Associate Professor in Obstetrics & Gynecology to provide academic leadership in clinical teaching, scholarly activity, and service. The role involves advanced clinical supervision, curriculum leadership, mentorship of junior faculty, and active contribution to accreditation and institutional development. Key Responsibilities: Lead and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching in Obstetrics & Gynecology in line with the university standards of Teaching, Research, and Service. Supervise, mentor, and assess medical students and junior faculty during clinical rotations, including labor ward, antenatal care, gynecology clinics, and inpatient services. Provide academic leadership in curriculum development, integration with other disciplines, and assessment design. Conduct, supervise, and publish high-quality clinical or educational research in reputable journals and conferences. Contribute to accreditation processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Serve on departmental, college, and clinical committees and contribute to community and professional service. Maintain a professional learning environment that supports student development, professionalism, and clinical excellence. Perform additional academic or clinical duties as assigned by the department or college leadership. Qualifications and Requirements: Basic medical degree (MBBS/MD). Eared Ph.D. degree or a terminal clinical qualification or postgraduate degree in Obstetrics & Gynecology from a recognized institution. Board certification and eligibility for professional licensure in the UAE. Demonstrated excellence in clinical teaching with prior academic appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level. Evidence of sustained scholarly output and leadership in research or academic activities. Experience with integrated curricula, PBL/TBL, and use of educational technologies is highly desirable. Proficiency in English and strong academic leadership and communication skills. Skills Required: Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing. Dedication to continued professional development and scholarship. Engaging in scholarly work that is of very high quality as evidenced by external peer review. Exhibit strong pedagogic skills and to remain proficient and current in their disciplines. Ability to develop and lead high-quality research. Ability to develop and lead community service efforts of AU. Ability to provide academic advising for students. Ability to work effectively with multiple diverse communities.
