  I-MED Radiology Network, North Tasmania, are currently seeking a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Clinical Assistant operator to join their busy team within Launceston.   This will be a Full-Time Position and will involve performing BMD scans, completing clinical duties such as assisting technologists, maintaining adequate stock levels and sorting supplies.     Having previous experience in patient handling & communication is essential to be successful in this role.     Participants must be willing to complete a recognised BMD course in safe use of bone mineral densitometers and then they will be reimbursed the costs by the employer.   The BMD Course is available to participants who have: * relevant health-based science degree level qualification; including medical science, nursing, allied health or tertiary education in science or health science-based courses.   * a professional knowledge of human anatomy * an interest in bone densitometry and body composition analysis.     The next course is in May 2026   Key accountabilities include: * Providing excellent customer service and patient care * Perform and assist with patient movement in the Medical Imaging service area; primarily BMD * Assist with general clinic tasks and other patients of the department in any manner as directed by technical/medical staff * Ensure Workplace Health and Safety legislation is complied with * Maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers   What we’re looking for: * Experience in patient handling is essential * Ability to handle patient care with compassion and tact, ensuring the patients privacy, dignity and confidentiality is maintained * Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact amiably and effectively with both the public and colleagues * Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team * Good time management and organisational skills   What we can offer you: * Flexible & friendly working environment * Excellent pay and conditions * Paid Parental Leave * Above average personal leave * Professional development subsidies * Commitment to your health and well-being, including access to employee assistance programme * A range of employee benefits, such as discounted Health Insurance and more   How do you apply?
