Description Nura is seeking a compassionate Clinic Assistant to provide critical support to our dedicated healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others and is eager to learn about our patient population. In this position, you are responsible for completing initial provider intake and collaborating within a care team to ensure our clinic operates as efficiently as possible. Although this role will be primarily based in Woodbury, applicants must be willing to work in Edina and Coon Rapids locations, as needed. Essential Functions: 1. Assist providers in seeing patients; gather and record primary information and medical histories, prepare patients for examination, initiate toxicology screens, and prepare equipment for procedures. 2. Record information in electronic medical records (EMR) database or paper chart and gather all essential components from consents, medications, and history. 3. Complete necessary paperwork as ordered by provider including printing prescriptions, work restrictions, referrals, and scheduling MRIs. 4. Participate in the correct scheduling of patients, appropriate communication with the scheduling department by tasking. 5. Assist in pre/post clinic procedures by preparing patient for procedure; correctly identifying patient, procedure to be performed, and procedure site. Updates and confirms medication and allergy profiles, completes appropriate clinical lab work (glucose reading, INR, pregnancy test, toxicology screen as indicated), completes and documents vital signs, pain status, HPI. Reinforces pre and post op teaching. 6. Obtain and document vitals, past medical history and problem list. Assists in discharge of patient with appropriate paperwork. 7. Assist in keeping the clinic orderly and follows appropriate cleaning protocols. 8. Participate and maintains safety and dignity of patient at all times. 9. Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patients. 10. Updates documentation for provider recording patient information as dictated, when requested. 11. Assists in maintaining and operations specialized equipment. 12. Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of Nura Requirements Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications: 1. High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2. Previous relevant experience preferred. 3. Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills; sometimes under pressure. 4. Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities. 5. Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors. 6. Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, insurance companies and general public. 7. Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems. 8. Ability to contribute to a team environment and provide excellent customer service. 9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Licenses & Certifications: 1. BLS certified or obtained certification within three months of hire to be reimbursed upon course completion.
