Overview Job Duties A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. Degree in medicine or other fields, with plans for career in dental, medicine, advanced medical practice, pharmacy, chiropractor, physical and occupational therapy, or other allied fields. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Assist with patient examinations or treatments. • May perform scribe functions by documenting all provider/patient interactions in the medical record under the supervision and responsibility of a licensed clinician • Observe and report patients' signs or symptoms. • Participates in performance improvement projects. • Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care. • Provides a standard of excellence as it relates to customer service for patients, staff members, and other customers. • Assists with test scoring • Assists with report documentation Qualifications Experience Requirements 1 year - Clerical/Customer Service experience, ideally in a healthcare related industry, experience with third party payors and computer experience for inputting data and reviewing patient demographic material. - preferred Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire Degree in medicine or other fields, with plans for a career in dental, medicine, advanced medical practice, pharmacy, chiropractor, physical and occupational therapy or other allied health fields UFJPI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace
