Overview The Clinical Associate is responsible for working directly with clinicians and staff to meet the needs of patients and their families within Infant Neurodevelopmental Center (INC). Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the daily planning, management, and monitoring of patient flow through assigned clinics. Addresses scheduling problems, answers patient/family questions related to services being provided, resolves administrative or operational issues for clinical staff and ensures an efficient and smooth clinic operation.2. Collaborates with Care Center staff and clinicians to ensure that appointment reminder calls are confirmed, cancellations are rescheduled, “no shows” are addressed, and that every attempt is made to consistently maintain a full clinic schedule.3. Collaborates with Care Center staff to ensure that scheduled and waitlisted patients are cleared in a timely manner and patients are informed of benefit information when necessary.4. Works directly with clinicians and support staff to grow the patient population served and increase patient show rate.5. Works directly with clinicians to address template and schedule changes as appropriate.6. Ensures smooth flow of operations including, but not limited to, wait-list monitoring and maintenance, appointment scheduling, registration, charge entry, and triage of new patients to the clinic. 7. Keeps relevant individuals informed of assignments, scheduling changes, and other matters relating to the efficient operations.8. Assists clinicians and coordinates with outpatient staff to ensure the optimal flow of daily operations of clinic-related activities, communication, and customer satisfaction. 9. Screens, channels, and prioritize clinically related calls, emails, and correspondence according to clinic protocols and clinician requirements. Uses independent judgment to refer patients and families as appropriate to other Kennedy Krieger Institute professionals in Nursing, Social Work, and therapeutic disciplines.10. Places follow-up calls to patients and families. Documents call according to INC Center Program protocols and clinician requirements. Qualifications EDUCATION:• Associate’s degree required.• Bachelor’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE:• Minimum 2 years of office support or administrative experience required, preferably in a medical office or clinic setting. • Five years of relevant experience preferred. Minimum pay range USD $45,059.66/Yr. Maximum pay range USD $75,603.63/Yr.
