Description
The Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing (PSON)—one of the oldest continuously operating nursing schools in the country, with a history of more than 120 years—currently has two open faculty positions at the Clinical Associate Professor rank. Over the past year, PSON has experienced rapid growth in student enrollment, with more than 400 students now enrolled in the Second-Degree Bachelor of Science (SDBS) in Nursing program. The SDBS program offers both an accelerated full-time track (4 semesters) and a part-time track (7 semesters). In addition, we are actively planning to expand into graduate education at both the master’s and doctoral levels.
The Clinical Associate Professor at the Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing (PSON) demonstrates excellence in and commitment to the teaching mission of the School of Nursing. The Clinical Associate Professor works closely with nursing students in accelerated Bachelor’s degree, RN to BS, and graduate academic programs through lectures, clinical simulation learning activities, and through experiential learning in acute care and community health settings. The Clinical Associate Professor applies an expert and innovative approach, with the most current educational theories, to teaching and learning which supports students at all levels caring for diverse patient populations. Guides and enhances the diversity, equity and inclusivity and belonging work of PSON students, faculty, and staff.
