In this role, you will support healthcare providers in delivering efficient and high-quality care to patients seeking immediate medical attention. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care. The role requires Certified Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or LPN certification/licensure, as direct patient care is the major component of this role. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures. Record vital signs, patient history, and symptoms accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for use. Administer basic treatments such as wound care, splinting, and administering injections as directed by healthcare providers. Provide patients with post-visit instructions and guidance on follow-up care. Assist with diagnostic tests, such as collecting lab specimens or performing EKGs, under the direction of medical staff. Facilitate patient flow by ensuring timely rooming of patients and managing appointment schedules. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and provide education on self-care and health maintenance. Ensure the clinic complies with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, handling referrals, and answering patient inquiries. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program and current licensure/certification for your scope of practice. LPN, EMT, Paramedic or CMA will be considered for this position. 1-2 years’ work experience in a Family Practice setting, Urgent Care, or related field required. BLS and Mandatory Reporter.
