Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

You will be part of the leadership team for the Home and as such a role model, contributing to ensuring that resources are met in line with the strategic plan and operational budget. Your ability to demonstrate your strong knowledge of all resident health conditions will be highly regarded. This includes attendance at handover and providing after hours support as required.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Registered Nurse with current registration the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in aged care
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Current Covid-19 Vaccinations (Highly recommended)

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Experience in the re-accreditation process and related assessment visits through the Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC)
  • Broad knowledge of the Aged Care Industry, Aged Care Act, 1997 and subordinate principles.
  • Strong Knowledge of Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
  • Excellent computer literacy and competency in electronic care systems.
  • Experience in accessing Joanna Briggs “best practice” portal with demonstrable understanding of contemporary nursing practice
  • Experience in Key Performance Indicators and an unambiguous understanding of clinical governance and accountability
