Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Case Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with staff, supervisors, managers, house staff, pathologists and clinicians to facilitate oversight of clinical case management for the molecular, laboratory. This position will oversee and manage clinical case coordination and establish and modify efficient workflows for the department. This individual, with guidance from the laboratory manager and director, will be responsible for developing and maintaining a resolution process and error reporting infrastructure for the department. This individual will also work with GC2 to facilitate communication and workflow resolution as it relates to the clinical management of the referred GC2 molecular cases. Job Responsibilities:         Troubleshoots, identifies, and facilitates resolution of clinical cases. Triages incoming cases, orders, and specimens. Resolves inter-laboratory, and inter-departmental level issues as applicable.         Ensures all pending cases are tracked and maintained through the laboratory. Monitors confirmatory testing status.          Communicates with ordering clinicians regarding insufficient samples, repeats, delayed reporting, etc. Addresses and monitors delayed reporting.         Serves as a Liaison between GC2 and the NYU Molecular laboratory. Responsible for daily monitoring and communication with partnered institution (GC2/Rochester/etc.) Reconciles and updates the shared case tracking system and wet lab operations queue. Identifies incoming samples as novel or recurrent.         Responsible for managing outside/referred molecular cases     Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences from an accredited college or university with three years of clinical laboratory experience, or a Master's Degree in biological sciences from an accredited college or university with one year of clinical laboratory experience. Preferred Qualifications: * MS in biological sciences preferred. * 4 years clinical laboratory experience. * Molecular lab experience preferred. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
